- The Parental Leave Policy for the Ruth L. Kirschstein NRSA Awards has been extended.
- The NIH Working Group on Women in Biomedical Careers, the Office of Research on Women’s Health, and the National Center for Research Resources hosted the Women in Biomedical Research: Best Practices for Sustaining Career Success workshop on March 4, 2008.
- The NIH Working Group on Women in Biomedical Careers and the Office of Research on Women’s Health hosted the National Leadership Workshop on Mentoring Women in Biomedical Careers on November 27–28, 2007.
- The Office of Research on Women’s Health and participating Institutes and Centers clarified the eligibility for Supplements to Promote Reentry into Biomedical and Behavioral Research Careers to include women and men who took a hiatus from research immediately after a postdoctoral appointment.
